While recycled plastic is currently used inside LG TVs, monitors, speakers, washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners, LG will expand the use of recycled plastic to the exterior of its products as well.
In addition to using more recycled plastic, LG is reducing the use of virgin plastic throughout its operations as well.
LG is also increasing its target amount of electronic waste take-back from its 4.5 million metric tons in 2006 to more than 8 million metric tons by 2030; LG is implementing initiatives to take back and recycle electronic waste in 52 countries.

Certification allows LG to not only test the functional safety of software written for self-driving vehicles but all automotive software systems and AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture (AUTOSAR) that fall under the ISO 26262 standard without the involvement of external agencies.

LG announced its Zero Carbon 2030 initiative in 2019, pledging to reduce the total amount of direct carbon emissions and indirect emissions generated during the production process by 50 percent compared to the 2017 baseline.
