Amprius Appoints Ex-Panasonic Director Andrew Huie to Spearhead Expansion Efforts as Vice President of Infrastructure

Amprius Technologies, Inc. Huie will lead the development of Amprius’ high-volume manufacturing facility as the company begins to scale its production capacity, focusing on factory planning, facility development and regulatory compliance.

Huie brings over 30 years of facility development and management experience to Amprius. He most recently served as the Director of Facilities at Panasonic Energy of North America; in that role, he was responsible for facilities site leadership at the Sparks, NV location as well as a critical participant in strategic initiatives like new product introductions and the GigaWatt manufacturing expansion project. Prior work experiences highlight success across team building and leadership, as well as project expansion at both large and small enterprises.

The decision to appoint Huie is well-timed following Amprius’ recent entry into the public markets subsequent to the close of its business transaction with Kensington Capital Acquisition Corp. Amprius began trading on the NYSE under the ticker “AMPX” on September 15, 2022, and plans to use the proceeds of this transaction to accelerate the construction of the new high-volume manufacturing facility in either Texas or Georgia, significantly expanding its production capabilities.
