Devices using the SecureLink API can access Digital Check’s Special Document Handling, an image-processing utility that cleans up background noise in hard-to-scan documents.
This capability has previously only been available through the Digital Check API (DCC API) for non-network scanners, alongside a similar feature in the SmartSource SmartPVA API.
Both new scanner models include a newly announced feature, called SimpleSwitch, that allows near-instantaneous switching between traditional USB and network operation via RNDIS with a button-press sequence.
