WEX and Jean Chatzky Lead National Initiative to Help Americans Tackle the Rising Cost of Healthcare

WEX (NYSE: WEX), a leading financial technology service provider, today announced its Health division will host a free live-streamed panel discussion aimed at educating Americans on the uses, benefits and tax advantages of health savings accounts (HSAs). The discussion will take place at 3 p.m. ET on National Health Savings Account Awareness Day (HSA Day), Tuesday, October 15. Jean Chatzky, renowned financial expert and 2019 HSA Day education ambassador, will moderate the panel.

The HSA Day live-streamed panel discussion will take an in-depth look at how HSAs can be used for everyday healthcare expenses such as doctor visits, co-pays, prescriptions and even orthodontia, as well as a long-term retirement plan and safety net. A wide spectrum of HSA participants will comprise the panel along with Chatzky, who will serve as an expert source of advice and best practices.

WEX and Chatzky look forward to hosting thousands of viewers for this inaugural livestream event, as WEX’s national partners, including providers, employers, financial institutions, fintechs and more, will livestream the panel discussion to their audiences. One of the primary reasons for this is due to healthcare benefits jargon being complex and confusing. HSA Day aims to bring clarity, understanding and a human element to the conversation on healthcare benefits.
