Today, the Car Connectivity Consortium® (CCC) announced the CCC Digital Key Certification is now available for NFC implementation to its industry-leading vehicle and device members. The certification is pivotal to instilling trust among consumers and the industry because CCC Digital Key provides a global standard for interoperability. This enables auto and device manufacturers to deliver secure, user-friendly experiences for digital key access.

“This is an incredible milestone for the CCC as the certification gives CCC Members the ability to increase their business value and deliver a much-desired experience to consumers,” said Alysia Johnson, president of the Car Connectivity Consortium. “This watershed moment was only possible because of the collaboration among our members who truly believe in the need for a universal standard for digital key technology.”

The CCC Digital Key Certification delivers four key benefits.

The CCC and its members continue to progress on testing and standardization with the latest CCC Digital Key End-to-End PlugFest. The event, hosted by Rivian, will take place this week, December 11-15, in Palo Alto, California.
