TransPerfect's Vasont Systems Division Donates $28,000 in Software Licenses to Students at the Missouri University of Science and Technology
Vasont Inspire allows users to create, manage, and publish digital content for technical documentation, product manuals, and other content-heavy materials.
TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language and technology
solutions for global business, today announced that its Vasont Systems
division has donated $28,000 in licenses for its Inspire CCMS product
for use by students at the Missouri University of Science and
Technology. Vasont Systems is a leading provider of component content
management system (CCMS) software and data services to Fortune 1000
companies and global organizations.
Students enrolled in select technical communications courses at Missouri
S&T will have the opportunity to use the Vasont Inspire CCMS as part of
a hands-on learning strategy that incorporates this business software
into course curriculum.
Vasont Inspire allows users to create, manage, and publish digital
content for technical documentation, product manuals, and other
content-heavy materials. Released in 2018, Inspire provides a web-based,
simplified user experience in either a software-as-a-service (SaaS) or
an on-premise deployment. The tool has intuitive authoring workflows and
an edit/review interface that is easily used without existing XML skills
or experience.
“We are grateful to Vasont for access to their software,” says Dr.
Edward Malone, Professor of English
and Technical Communication at Missouri S&T. “Students may someday
use such a tool to manage digital content for all types of industries.
This kind of hands-on learning is what they need to prepare them for
careers after graduation.”
Amanda Kossuth, a Missouri S&T graduate student in technical
communication, stated, "I found Vasont Inspire to be not only useful,
but also easy to use.” Kossuth continued, “I am expanding my skills in
topic-based authoring and CCMS usage. The documents I can create in
Vasont Inspire will be an excellent addition to my portfolio.”
TransPerfect President and CEO Phil Shawe remarked, “Making commercial
software available for the next generation of content and technical
professionals is both exciting and consistent with our core values as a
company. We're proud to support Missouri S&T.”
