As the former Vice President of Academic Strategy at Pearson, a learning and education publishing company, Peterson brings more than 20 years of online academic programming experience to Elevate K-12.
In her new role, Peterson — who holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology and educational technology — is currently overseeing curriculum and instructor teams responsible for the development of academic content and classroom instruction.
"I'm very excited to join Elevate K-12 as it is the only company addressing our teacher shortage with live instruction delivered with a technology designed for K-12 teaching," Peterson said. According to Peterson, Elevate K-12's live streaming approach is vastly different from other online models. It makes a big difference in students' motivation and outcomes."
