VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 15, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Koryx Copper Inc. ("Koryx" or “the Company") (TSX-V: KRY) announces the sixth batch of assay results from the current drill program at its Haib Copper project in southern Namibia.  The results from the latest three drill holes continue to confirm that the deposit can deliver high grades over substantial widths within the known historical resource.

Key Points:
  • CuEq (copper equivalent) has been used to express the combined value of copper and molybdenum and is provided for illustrative purposes only.
  • It was drilled northeastwards to close the sample spacing of the shallow high-grade zone in this direction.
  • To the west of the vein, Cu grades are elevated averaging 0.36% Cu for the remaining 215m of the hole.
  • Over time, it has seen several transformations including shearing and faulting events that appear to have further concentrated Cu and Mo.

1,327 g/t Ag Eq over an estimated true width of 3.0 meters from 604.85 meters, including
179 g/t Ag Eq over an estimated true width of 17.5 meters from 460.10 meters, including
1,036 g/t Ag Eq over an estimated true width of 8.1 meters from 463.30 meters, including
Ag Eq is calculated using a factor of 80:1.
  • Additional drilling with three drill rigs will continue to test the depth, strike and infill of the current Yessi vein extent.
  • One half of the core is submitted to the internal laboratory located at the San Jose Mine.

Key Points:
  • The resulting 200-meter extension returned intervals of up to 90 meters of brecciation, alteration, and zones of mineralization (refer to Figure 1).
  • These holes support the interpretation of the Yessi vein, which represents the easternmost limit of mineralization intersected at San Jose to date and which does not have any surface expression, highlighting the regional prospectivity.
  • Further work is planned to better understand the relationship between the Yessi vein and the broader mineralized system at the San Jose Mine.
  • Additional drilling is currently underway to define the strike extent and geometry of the Yessi vein.
