The Chaparrals totaled 206 points to easily out-distance Mineral Area College, which scored 130 points and won their record-setting fourth consecutive team title.
"Our strength was all about depth and talent," said Interim Co-head coach Mallory Dominguez.
COD has now won eight national championships in men's track and field, more than any other program since the NJCAA recognized Division III non-scholarship track in 1998.

Two-time defending champions face Rochester Community & Technical College in NJCAA Division III Football Championship at the Red Grange Bowl on Dec. 2

1 all season long in NJCAA non-scholarship play, will defend its national title after leading the division in points (35.5), total offensive yards (4,068) and ranking second in yards/game (369.8).
Their only loss came against NJCAA D1 power Iowa Central, and their victories include games against D1 Ellsworth (Iowa) and Georgia Military College.
"We're excited for the opportunity to play for the national championship,'' said head coach Matthew Rahn.
College of DuPage is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and National Junior College Athletic Association Region IV .

The Chaps, which finished second last season, totaled 158 points, finishing ahead of Rowan College of South Jersey-Gloucester County (148.5) and Suffolk County CC (120.5).
