The data show a substantial reduction in current (past 30 day) e-cigarette use among high school students, dropping to 10.1% in 2023 versus 14.1% in 2022, the lowest point in almost a decade. As a result, current use of any tobacco product by high school students declined by an estimated 540,000 students, from 2.51 million in 2022 to 1.97 million in 2023.
