Chicago, Aug. 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pennsylvania, which enacted the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) in 2021, will allow nurses holding an active, unencumbered multistate license to begin practicing in the commonwealth on Sept. 5.

- Although the NLC has been enacted in Pennsylvania, an implementation process must be completed before its residents will be able to apply for a multistate license.
- Residents of Pennsylvania will be unable to obtain a multistate license until the NLC is fully implemented in the commonwealth.
- With the multistate license, nurses can provide telehealth nursing services to patients located in NLC states without having to obtain additional licenses.
