Form SR-22 Now Available for Filing to Iowa Through NOR’s MCInfo
The SR-22 is the 14th insurance form available for filing online through MCInfo .
National Online Registries, LLC (NOR) expanded its Motor Carrier Information Exchange (MCInfo) system offerings with the Iowa Department of Transportation to include electronic filing of Form SR-22, Uniform Financial Responsibility Certificate of Insurance. The SR-22 is the 14th insurance form available for filing online through MCInfo.
“The addition of Form SR-22 to MCInfo will improve the value of the system for insurance companies with clients residing in Iowa,” said Laura Johnson, NOR General Manager. “Users can efficiently file a variety of forms electronically to Iowa and 21 other participating states.”
The state of Iowa now accepts three types of forms instantly submitted through MCInfo:
- Form SR-22
- Form E, Uniform Motor Carrier Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability Certification of Insurance
- Form K, Uniform Notice of Cancellation of Motor Carrier Insurance Policies
NOR plans to add more forms for filing to Iowa soon including Form SR-23, Uniform Financial Responsibility Notice for Fleets, and Form SR-26, Uniform Financial Responsibility Notice of Cancellation or Termination.
MCInfo speeds up the submission process and increases transparency by providing visibility and tracking of insurance filings through the approval process. Automatic data population helps save time and prevent data entry errors when submitting multiple forms at once.
For participating states, MCInfo provides a centralized system to receive and review insurance filings, automatically communicate with insurance companies and track trends and progress via the reporting feature.
