In the latest lesson, Mike McClary reveals how sellers can find suppliers that manufacture products and the best way to communicate with those suppliers.
Many people think that the products they buy are designed and manufactured from the same company they are buying it from. In lesson three of the Brand Builder Blueprint series, Mike McClary reveals that there are thousands of manufacturers around the world who develop and manufacture products. These manufacturers do not sell their products to consumers, but to individuals creating brands and businesses. McClary shared that these manufacturers are easily found in one place – Alibaba.com.
McClary (co-creator of Amazing Selling Machine) revealed, "Alibaba is THE place to source physical products made all over the world, and unless you're looking for supplements or skin care products, chances are you can start your search here."
McClary explained that sellers who want to sell supplements or skin care products should source those products within the United States. McClary showed viewers the process to source products in the United States and shared, "To find these, you simply do a Google search and use the terms "private label" along with the product you are looking for."
In the second half of the lesson, McClary covered how sellers can ship products from the manufacturer to an Amazon warehouse. He revealed the best way to transport the products is through a freight forwarder. Freight forwarders are experts in shipping products all over the world and understand Amazon shipping specifications.
At the end of the lesson, McClary encouraged viewers to download the Amazing Selling Machine supplier contact template that ensures sellers appear professional when they first contact a manufacturer.
