The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), in collaboration with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS), Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA) and the American Statistical Association (ASA), released a joint position statement today calling for data science to be introduced and taught across the curriculum in K–12 schools to help all learners develop data literacy, knowledge, and skills.

The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA) today announced its seventh annual list of “ Best STEM Books K-12 .” This list—selected by volunteer educators and assembled in cooperation with the Children’s Book Council (CBC)—provides recommendations about the best trade books with science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) content available for students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
