LANCASTER, Calif., Oct. 23, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The City of Lancaster celebrates the Department of Energy's (DOE) announcement that California's Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES) has been awarded up to $1.2 billion under the DOE's Regional Clean Hydrogen Hubs (H2Hubs) program. The complainant has submitted a number of requests for information to Lancaster City Council, which relate to the Council’s compulsory purchase of land at Luneside East, Lancaster. The Council has provided the complainant with some information which is relevant to some parts of his requests, however, it now relies on section 14(1) of the FOIA to refuse to make further responses. The Commissioner’s decision is that Lancaster City council has correctly applied section 14(1) of the FOIA to the requests detailed in this notice, on the grounds that they are vexatious.
