Title field power features

When you click Add Content, you can let Jotup's AI do a lot of work for you by entering specific things into the Title field as follows:

PS: these extra things will be automatically removed during saving, leaving just the appropriate title text

Event

By default, any Event you create will be set to today's date.

  • Use \\\ to set the Event to a different date, like this:
Date \\\ Title of the Event

NB: Date can be in any commonly accepted format; if you use the / slashes, beware that your date will be interpreted in the American format MM/DD/YY rather than DD/MM/YY

Task

By default, any Task you create is automatically assigned to you.

  • Use \\\ to assign the task to another user (in the same group), like this:
Title of the Task \\\ Name Of User

NB: you don't have to type their full name

Note

  • Use \\\ to add a comment, as follows:
Title \\\ Comment

The "content added" notification to others in your group will also contain your comment.

Web Page

If you enter a URL rather than text, Jotup will automatically recognise it and try to summarise the web page, saving you a lot of time.

  • Summarise a URL by just pasting it in:
URL

If the summarisation is successful, the URL in the Title field will be replaced with the actual title of the page the URL points to. Otherwise, the URL will be left in the title. In either case, the URL will be stored in the URL field.

NB: make sure it's just the URL in the TItle field, unless you're adding a comment, in which case it's fine to follow the URL with \\\ comment

  • Use \\\ to add a comment:
Title or URL \\\ Comment

The "content added" notification to others in your group will also contain your comment.
