Many pediatric hospitals have started to use two cardiac tests known as high-sensitivity cardiac troponin (hs-cTn) and N-terminal pro B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP). - A major limitation of these tests in children, however, is that precise pediatric reference intervals for hs-cTn and NT-proBNP have not been determined yet.
