    The Executive Committee of the Global Privacy Assembly (GPA), of which the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong, is a member, issued a Joint Statement on 31 March 2021, urging governments and other organisations responsible for processing health data for the purposes of international travel during COVID-19 pandemic to consider and pay due regard to a set of common global data protection principles and practice advocated in the Joint Statement.
