    As part of the programme of the 21st European Week of Regions and Cities, the REGI committee held a joint meeting with its counterpart in the Committee of the Regions, the Commission on Territorial Cohesion Policy and EU Budget (COTER), from 09.30-11.00 on Thursday 12 October in meeting room SPINELLl 3G3.The joint REGI-COTER meeting provided Members of the European Parliament and the European Committee of the Regions with an opportunity to discuss with Commissioner Elisa Ferreira how the policy needs to be shaped in the future, in order to ensure that it can effectively achieve its objectives.
  • The subject of the joint meeting was "The future of cohesion policy beyond 2027".
  • Speakers also included Emil Boc, Chair of COTER and of the Committee of the Regions; and Younous Omarjee, Chair of REGI.
