Easterseals and Bellwether Release Report on Educational Disparities for Black Students with Disabilities
CHICAGO, Dec. 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Easterseals, in partnership with Bellwether, today shared the findings of a recently published report, Ignored, Punished, and Underserved: Understanding and Addressing Disparities in Education Experiences and Outcomes for Black Children with Disabilities, during a virtual in-depth discussion that focused on the pandemic's disproportionately negative impact on students with disabilities.
- Watson and Hinds shared the report's findings on the numerous disparities for black students with disabilities and offered specific recommendations to address those inequities at the teacher, district, and policy levels.
