University of Hawaiʻi (UH) and Ocean Networks, Inc. (ONI) announce a $120 million, public-private partnership to construct a submarine optical fiber cable system that will connect the Hawaiian Islands and improve and expand high-speed broadband internet throughout the state.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) for the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District Project (NASED) was issued today marking the launch of the procurement process which provides for both the new Aloha Stadium and the surrounding district to be delivered jointly as one integrated public-private-partnership (P3) project.
