NRG Energy, Inc. Announces Repurchases with Holders of 2.75% Convertible Senior Notes due 2048
NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE:NRG) announced today that it has entered into separate, privately negotiated transactions with certain holders of its existing 2.75% convertible senior notes due 2048 (the “Convertible Notes”) to repurchase approximately $251 million aggregate principal amount of the Convertible Notes.

- The Convertible Notes repurchases are expected to close over a period ending on or about April 18, 2024, subject to customary closing conditions.
- Following the closing of the repurchases, and after giving effect to approximately $92 million aggregate principal amount of Convertible Notes that the Company had previously repurchased, approximately $232 million aggregate principal amount of Convertible Notes will remain outstanding.
