On 18 May at 14:00, Members will exchange views with Thierry Breton, Commissioner for the Internal Market, on the EU coronavirus exit strategy. The exchange will cover the gradual lifting of lockdown measures taken by Member States, as well as the implementation of the recovery fund dedicated to the COVID-19 crisis and its impact on the MFF, including the impact on the Single Market Programme.

The two Commissioners shared the view that EU culture and values had to be preserved at all costs and told MEPs that an EU support plan for the cultural and creative sector was under way, as part of the wider EU recovery plan.

With the publication of the EU Official Journal on April 24, 2020, the measure to postpone the application date of EU MDR 2017/745 by one year was put into effect officially.
