Kaspersky finds growing number of parents experiencing ransomware attacks on children's schools
WOBURN, Mass., Feb. 9, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Kaspersky released new survey data, revealing that 14% of American parents have experienced ransomware attacks on their children's K-12 schools while there child was a student, an increase from 9% last year. Among schools that paid a ransom to their attackers, parents reported that the average ransom was $887,360. In 2021, the average was just $375,311.
