    On Thursday 6 July 2023, the joint ECON and ENVI Committee will scrutinise the Taxonomy Environmental Delegated Act and amending Climate Delegated Act in the presence of Commissioner McGuinness.
  • Two years ago, on 4 June 2021, the Commission adopted the first Taxonomy Delegated Regulation on sustainable activities for climate change adaptation and mitigation objectives, namely the Climate Delegated Act.
  • This Delegated Act also includes amendments to the Disclosures Delegated Act, to clarify the disclosure obligations for the additional activities.
  • To complement this, the amending Climate Delegated Act comprises targeted amendments which expand on economic activities contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation not included so far - in particular in the manufacturing and transport sectors.
