LONDON, Sept. 24, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Global Ship Lease, Inc. (NYSE:GSL) (the “Company”), a leading independent owner of containerships, announced today that it has posted an updated investor presentation in the Investor Relations section of its recently re-launched website, www.globalshiplease.com. Among other things, the new investor presentation provides updated market data demonstrating strong performance by liner operators (charterers) and a sharp recovery in the containership charter market, particularly for the mid-sized and smaller containership segments on which Global Ship Lease’s fleet is focused.

Adjusted to include all charters agreed, and ships acquired or divested, up to September 23, 2020, the average remaining term of the Company’s charters at June 30, 2020, to the mid-point of redelivery, including options under the Company’s control, was 2.4 years on a TEU-weighted basis. Contracted revenue on the same basis was $688.3 million. Contracted revenue was $761.7 million, including options under charterers’ control and with latest redelivery date, representing a weighted average remaining term of 2.7 years.
