Biotechnology Startup Cannformatics Expands Advisory Board with Nationally Recognized Experts in Clinical Medicine and Pediatric Neuropsychology

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cannformatics, an early stage biotech startup pioneering the use of metabolomics and AI to personalize medical cannabis treatments, today announced two new members to the company's advisory board. The company welcomes nationally recognized board-certified emergency medicine physician Dr. Myiesha Taylor and University of California, San Francisco Assistant Professor Dr. Stephany Cox.

Dr. Taylor was recently named as one of Essence Magazine's 50 Essential Heroes for her work in addressing COVID-19 healthcare disparities in underserved communities, she is also the inspiration behind Disney's popular medical doctor character Doc McStuffins, for her work in championing black women around the world to pursue medical degrees.

Dr. Cox is a pediatric neuropsychologist whose expertise includes neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, she is also Co-Director of the UCSF Healthy Hearts and Minds Program.

Both Drs. Taylor and Cox will provide scientific review and high-level advice to Cannformatics' management with regards to its upcoming autism pilot study as well as other R&D activities.
