(Nasdaq: VIR), a clinical-stage immunology company focused on combining immunologic insights with cutting-edge technologies to treat and prevent serious infectious diseases, today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) relating to a proposed underwritten public offering of 6,200,000 shares of its common stock. In addition, Vir expects to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 930,000 additional shares of its common stock offered at the public offering price, less the underwriting discounts and commissions. The public offering price has not yet been determined.
