(NASDAQ: SAIA), a leading transportation provider offering multi-regional less-than-truckload (LTL), non-asset truckload, expedited and logistics services, is providing LTL shipment and tonnage data for the first two months of the second quarter.  In April2020, LTL shipments per workday declined16.2%, LTL tonnage per workday declined 12.9% and LTL weight per shipment increased 4.0% to 1,335 pounds compared to 1,284 pounds in April2019.  In May2020, LTL shipments per workday declined9.2%, LTL tonnage per workday declined 8.8% and LTL weight per shipment increased 0.4% to 1,292 pounds compared to 1,287 pounds in May2019.
