The Women of Global Change Las Vegas holds First Annual Fashion Show in Support of Refuge for Women

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The First Annual Fashion Show and Champagne Brunch presented by Women of Global Change - Las Vegas Chapter will be held on September 30, 2018 at the Mario Basner Photography Gallery at Tivoli Village, in Las Vegas from 11:30a.m. to 2:30p.m. This Charity function will be in support of Refuge for Women-Las Vegas.

Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization that provides residential healing and a recovery programs for women survivors of sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Refuge for Women serves multiple locations across the U.S., offering safe housing, at no charge to the resident.

The heightened public awareness of sex trafficking and exploitation of women and children has reached new attention with celebrity supporters and international activists such as Street Grace, WGCF Ashton Kutcher, and Julia Ormand to name a few.

Galit Ventura-Rozen, Las Vegas WGC Chapter President said, "It is with great passion that our chapter is on a mission to raise money for an organization that helps survivors of sex trafficking heal and transition into society. Providing the opportunity for a doorway of growth and healing is an asset to not only serve these women but also the hope and possibility for the future, as these women may reach out to other women or individuals who have experienced the same."

The Women of Global Change Foundation (WGCF) is a multiple White House award-winning 501(c) 3 organization that serves individuals worldwide. WGC also has local chapters in the United States, which supports and provides educational/business platforms and local community social impact activism. WGC stands as a presence of hope and possibility for those in need!

The event will feature three local female fashion designers showcasing their designs, a silent auction and raffle with proceeds to assist Refuge for Women – Las Vegas.

MC for this event will be Tricia Kean – ABC Action News Anchor Channel 13 KTNV. Tricia currently anchors the weekday editions of Action News and also heads up Contact 13 Consumer Unit. Tricia has also anchored overnight national news for CBS News "Up to the Minute." In addition she has two local Emmy awards to her credit.
