PITTSBURGH, April 7, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- An inventor from Brush Prairie, Wash., has developed the GAP FLAP, a hinged panel system to close the gap formed when folding down the rear seat back(s) in a Jeep® Wrangler Unlimited. It bridges the gap to provide a smooth transition between the lowered seat(s) and the cargo area. A prototype is available.

"There is an undesirable gap in many Jeep^® Wrangler Unlimiteds when the rear seats are folded down. My invention closes this gap and contributes to more usable cargo space," said the inventor. The patent-pending GAP FLAP eliminates the large gap exposed across the flooring with the seats folded down. This reduces the potential for cargo slipping inside the space/gap. It enhances cargo carrying capabilities and allows larger loads to be carried without any interference. In addition, it creates a much more comfortable space for overnight sleeping when camping or hunting, and also provides ample space for dogs or other pets to safely roam within the full cargo space without the risk of falling into gaps. This easy-to-install panel system is unobtrusive, extremely strong and quality constructed.
