The patent pending invention provides a more effective way for a histology technician to observe and work with smaller tissue samples. In doing so, it offers an improved alternative to using an illuminator and optical magnifier aids. As a result, it could help to reduce eyestrain and upper body strain and it could enhance comfort and performance. The invention features an ergonomic design that is convenient and easy to use so it is ideal for medical and biological laboratories. Additionally, a prototype is available.
The inventor described the invention design. "My design eliminates the need to struggle with simple optical magnifiers or poor posture when working with small tissue samples."
The inventor went on to say, "The reduction/elimination of eye, neck and upper-body strain was the #1 reason I came up with this design. Many of my fellow techs suffer from these pains at embedding. This essentially eliminates prolonged hunching over the embedding unit."
