New genomic study by EpigeneticsRx seeks to reduce post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideation and depression in combat veterans

SAN DIEGO, March 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- County of San Diego Supervisor Nathan Fletcher, a Marine Corps. combat veteran, supported the effort with a $60,000 Neighborhood Reinvestment Program grant from the County.
"We have to take bold action to tackle our most serious challenges. Trying innovative healthcare practices to address mental health injury and substance use is the only way we can build a better way to provide behavioral health services," said Supervisor Fletcher. "We hope this study produces new information about how we can better assist veterans manage post-traumatic stress."
Since its launch in early February, the study has enrolled 30 veterans that are receiving genetic testing, personalized lifestyle coaching, nutritional-based treatment solutions, microcurrent neurofeedback and ongoing genomic counseling.
