Third Annual Sallie Mae 5K Set for June 2 at Fort Harrison State Park
The third annual Sallie Mae 5K run/walk to raise money in support of the Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program will be held at Fort Harrison State Park on Sunday, June 2 at 8:30 a.m.
The third annual Sallie Mae 5K run/walk to raise money in support of the Bridging
the Dream Scholarship Program will be held at Fort Harrison State
Park on Sunday, June 2 at 8:30 a.m. The event, which is open to the
public, is a family-friendly, run/walk for all ages. Participants can
register at www.SallieMae5K.com.
Sallie Mae’s Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program asks high school
counselors from across the country to nominate students who have
overcome obstacles and exemplify excellence both inside and outside the
classroom.
In the past three years, Sallie Mae has awarded $560,000 in scholarships
to undergraduate and graduate students through the program. Sallie Mae
will again award a scholarship to a student in Indiana, home to nearly
500 employees and the company’s second largest location. Counselors and
community organization leaders can nominate students beginning Friday,
