Indiana Local Receives National Nurse of the Year Honor for Providing Extraordinary Care

announce that Brandi Lovvorn, RN from the company's Lafayette, IN office
has been named 2019 Nurse of the Year. At the helm of every BrightStar
Care client's case is a passionate and committed nurse that
supervises all elements of care. This award recognizes the unmatched,
compassionate care she provides to every client and their families.
Brandi serves as the RN Case Manager at BrightStar Care Lafayette,
where she develops and personalizes a care plan for each and every one
of her clients. Brandi was nominated by Stephanie Zishka, Co-owner and
Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care Lafayette and Lisa Minier,
Branch Manager at BrightStar Care Lafayette. In both nomination
letters, they note that Brandi is an inspiration to all and truly goes
above and beyond for any client she has the pleasure of working with.
Every year, BrightStar Care franchise agencies from across the
United States nominate members of their nursing teams for the Nurse
of the Year award. Of the large amount of submissions, one finalist
from each region of the country are selected. In addition to Brandi
Lovvorn, RN from BrightStar Care of Lafayette (Midwest Region),
this year's finalists were Cynthia Hernandez, BSN, RN, from BrightStar
Care of Northern Middlesex (Northeast Region), Deborah Parker, RN,
BSN, MPA, CCM, from BrightStar Care of Salt Lake City East (West
Region) and Kayla Donnelly, RN, CRNI, from BrightStar Care of
Charlotte S (Southeast Region).
Annually, BrightStar Care reaches out nationwide to people whose
lives have been touched by their compassionate team of care
professionals - spanning from home health aides, personal care
attendants, registered nurses and more - to hear their clients'
experiences. They are provided with hundreds of nominations and
heartwarming stories, which are then reviewed by a team of judges who
read every nomination as part of a difficult finalist selection process.
