American Water to Hold Annual Meeting Of Shareholders on Friday, May 10, 2019

American Water Works Company, Inc. (NYSE: AWK) would like to remind
shareholders that it will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders at 10
a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Friday, May 10, 2019, at The Camden
Adventure Aquarium, 1 Riverside Drive, Camden, N.J. Shareholders of
record at the close of business on the record date, March 15, 2019, are
entitled to notice of, and to vote on, all matters that properly come
before the meeting. Doors to the meeting will open at 9:30 a.m.

Shareholders or holders of authorized, legal proxies who plan to attend
the meeting in person should review the company’s admission card
requirements, which are described on page 5 of the company’s proxy
statement, as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on March
26, 2019.

Interested parties may listen to a live audio webcast of the annual
meeting through a link on the Investor Relations homepage at ir.amwater.com.
The online archive of the webcast will be available for 30 days
following the annual meeting.
