Nationally, French Bulldog Holds On To The Top Spot

NEW YORK, March 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third year in a row, the French Bulldog has taken Detroit's top spot in the American Kennel Club's (AKC®) 2023 ranking of the most popular AKC-recognized dog breeds in the U.S.

The French Bulldog was also recognized as the #1 pup in Miami, FL and Denver, CO.

The Beagle is making strides in Detroit, shooting up in the ranks from #27 in 2022 to #12 in 2023, just shy of making the top 10.
