ECI Appoints Irit Touitou as Executive Vice President Global Technology

PETAH TIKVA, Israel, March 27, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- ECI^®, a global provider of ELASTIC Network^® solutions for service providers, critical infrastructures and data center operators, today announced the appointment of Irit Touitou as Executive Vice President, Global Technology to drive innovation, from concept to fruition, and step up production of 5G products and solutions to its customers around the globe.

With deep technical knowledge spanning more than 20 years, Touitou previously served as VP and General Manager of the Imaging Clinical Apps Business unit at Philips, where she oversaw a global, cross-functional team integrating engineering, service, sales and marketing. Prior to Philips, she was General Manager and president of the Customer Management Division in Amdocs, leading strategy, product management, R&D, pre-sales and marketing efforts. In this role, she exceeded sales targets and became a driver for exceptional customer experiences.

As more markets roll out 5G networks and trials, there will be a greater demand for an updated network infrastructure capable of supporting more sophisticated services. Throughout 2018, ECI made great strides in its 5G developments and engagements. Early in the year, ECI launched its dynamic, intelligent 5G solution including advanced technologies like slicing, segment routing (SR) and FlexE (Flex Ethernet).
