ENCAVIS creates sustainable transparency and – for the first time – publishes two sustainability reports

Hamburg, 2 May 2023 – MDAX-listed wind and solar park operator Encavis AG (Prime Standard, ISIN: DE0006095003, ticker symbol: ECV) publishes two sustainability reports for the reporting year 2022. In the "Sustainability Journey Report", the company reports in detail on its sustainability strategy, which is focused on the material topics of the Encavis Group. In the "ESG+ Performance Report", the company presents in particular the key performance indicators (KPIs) from the areas of Environment (E), Social (S), Governance (G) and Economy (+).

Ambitious sustainable growth

The economic environment of the Encavis Group is designed for sustainable growth with a positive impact on the reduction of greenhouse gases. Strategically, the topics of growth, development of new business areas, operational excellence and asset management are particularly relevant. The Company has made considerable progress in the areas of revamping and repowering of existing solar plants as well as in digitalisation.

Protecting biodiversity

In accordance with its own business model, ENCAVIS contributes to the protection of nature and the environment. In 2022, the understanding about the impact on the local environment has grown significantly. Thus, ENCAVIS has started to integrate biodiversity protection into existing solar projects. The goal is to keep local biodiversity intact in all cases, and ideally to enhance it. This is also manifested in the Company’s biodiversity strategy.

Employee satisfaction and skills are essential for ENCAVIS. In these areas, the Company was able to become more diverse in 2022. A consistently high Employee Net Promoter Score greater than eight out of ten shows that ENCAVIS is an attractive employer. 

Sustainable success only comes with responsibility

Within the governance dimension ENCAVIS prioritised the professionalising of its compliance management system. Internally, the Company focused on extensive compliance training for all employees.

"Since our first sustainability report for 2020, we have achieved many of the goals we set ourselves and learned a lot in the process. Above all, one thing has become clear to us: For all our efforts, there is always more that can be done, and there must always be more. Resting is not an option. Encavis AG's sustainability reports have been prepared based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and are aligned with the reporting standards of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG) and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN).
