He developed a prototype for STAT BOARD to combine the functionality of a cork board and a static plastic memo board to accommodate numerous visual aids in half the space. As such, it allows users to tack papers to a cork board and write on and adhere papers to a clear overlay board at the same time. Thus, this versatile, practical and user friendly display medium provides greater organization for presentations. In addition, it is convenient, effective and affordably priced.
The inventor's professional experience inspired the idea. "As a superintendent, I had difficulty finding construction details on my projects in a timely manner on a standard cork board," he said. "So I made and used this combination board on a daily basis and found it worked very well."
