announced the appointment of Karl Van den Bergh as its Chief Marketing
Officer (CMO). A seasoned technology industry leader, Van den Bergh most
recently served as the CMO at DataStax, where he expanded the global
marketing team and its contribution to corporate growth.
Van den Bergh is based at the Gigamon headquarters in Santa Clara, CA
and has assumed leadership of global marketing initiatives during a
critical inflection point in the industry. Cybersecurity is in the midst
of a perfect storm. The democratization of malware has created a
significant increase in the number of bad actors who are leveraging
frameworks and malware that are easily rented or purchased off the dark
web. At the same time, the speed at which data moves is making real-time
threat detection and containment an increasingly challenging and futile
exercise.
This shift in the threat landscape is driving a paradigm shift in how we
perceive, deploy and embrace cybersecurity. Gigamon is the essential
element of network infrastructure at more than 80 percent of Fortune 100
companies, who rely on it for the unprecedented network visibility and
security required to combat this new paradigm.

service on the Amazon Web Services Marketplace. Van den Bergh joined
TIBCO through the acquisition of Jaspersoft, where he was also General
Manager for Cloud and Senior Vice President of Products.
Van den Bergh also held senior leadership roles at Kickfire and SAP
prior to joining Jaspersoft and is a Board Member at iKydz. He holds a
bachelor’s degree in Physics from Trinity College in Dublin and a
master’s degree in Computer Science from Imperial College in London.
