Promotional products retailer 4imprint has achieved CarbonNeutral company certification. A company must reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero over a 12-month period to be certified a CarbonNeutral company.

4imprint began its journey to carbon neutrality in 2017 with the launch of an internal, environmentally focused team to measure their current environmental impact, engage their organization around sustainability and make recommendations on how to improve their environmental footprint across the company and supply chain. Additionally, in 2020, 4imprint pledged carbon neutrality by December 2022.

Earlier this year, 4imprint partnered with Natural Capital Partners, the leading experts on carbon neutrality and climate finance. 4imprint had an independent assessment of its greenhouse gas emissions, and the evaluation considered all parts of 4imprint’s business – from heating and cooling to electricity use, business travel, waste generated in operations, transportation, employees working from home and more.

4imprint spent the months that followed launching several internal emissions reduction projects – converting to LED lighting, using carbon neutral shipping programs and even installing electric vehicle charging stations at their UK office. 4imprint also identified and selected three carbon reduction projects to offset the remainder.

The result: Carbon neutrality.
