Guardian Life Names Phil Pescatore Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer

NEW YORK, June 9, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America® (Guardian Life) today announced that Phil Pescatore has been named Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, reporting to Kermitt Brooks, the company's General Counsel. 

"Phil will lead a best-in-class compliance and ethics organization charged with protecting Guardian and our consumers, and guiding our commitment to ethical business practices," said Brooks. "It is a critical role and Phil brings both the experience and judgment required to ensure we maintain the trust of our stakeholders."

In his former role, Pescatore led compliance for Guardian Life's Individual Markets business where he oversaw adherence to business-critical regulatory requirements. Prior to joining the company, he served as Chief Risk Officer and Head of Supervision for AXA Advisors, with increasing responsibility for risk management and regulatory supervision. He also held several risk management and leadership roles during his 13-year career at Prudential.
