Fairfax Announces Early Redemption of Senior Notes Due October 14, 2022 and March 22, 2023

TORONTO, Feb. 26, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (“Fairfax”) (TSX: FFH and FFH.U) announces that, on March 28, 2021, it is redeeming all of its outstanding 5.84% senior notes due October 14, 2022 (the “2022 Notes”) at a redemption price of 106.999% of the principal amount of the 2022 Notes plus accrued and unpaid interest, if any. There is C$446 million principal amount of 2022 Notes currently outstanding.

Fairfax also announces that, on March 28, 2021, it is redeeming all of its outstanding 4.50% senior notes due March 22, 2023 (the “2023 Notes”) at a redemption price of 106.456% of the principal amount of the 2023 Notes plus accrued and unpaid interest, if any. There is C$400 million principal amount of 2023 Notes currently outstanding.
