Mississippi's Trusted Triangle Gives Travelers Peace of Mind

COLUMBUS, Miss., Jan. 21, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A group of travel and hospitality businesses located in Mississippi's Golden Triangle region announced today the formation of Mississippi's Trusted Triangle coalition. Each member of the coalition has adopted strict COVID-19 safety and cleanliness standards designed to give travelers peace of mind when traveling to the region.

Located between Columbus, Starkville, and West Point, Miss., founding members of the coalition include the Golden Triangle Regional Airport, who spearheaded the effort; Delta Air Lines; Enterprise Rent-A-Car;National Car Rental; Eat With Us Restaurant Group; and six hotels owned and managed by Peachtree Hotel Group, including Courtyard by Marriott Columbus, Courtyard by Marriott Starkville MSU, Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbus, Hampton Inn & Suites Columbus, Hampton Inn Starkville, and Hilton Garden Inn Tupelo.

"In Mississippi's Golden Triangle, 80 percent of air travel has traditionally been for business purposes, and it has drastically dropped off over the past year negatively impacting the local economy," said Mike Hainsey, executive director, Golden Triangle Regional Airport. "The goal of the coalition is to inform travelers that a trip to the Golden Triangle can be safe and productive."
Each of the founding members meet or exceed all CDC guidelines, state mandates for COVID-19 safety as well as safety and cleanliness requirements of each brand.
