Lyon Real Estate Acquired by Windermere Real Estate

Lyon Real Estate, the region’s leading independent residential real estate company, has been acquired by Windermere Real Estate, a family-run firm, and the largest regional real estate company in the Western U.S.

Lyon Real Estate has been a fixture in the greater Sacramento region for 75 years with 800+ agents who generated over $2.86 billion in sales last year. Windermere Real Estate was founded in 1972 in Seattle and is operated by second-generation leadership Geoff Wood, Jill Jacobi Wood, and OB Jacobi. Both companies are members of the prestigious Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® and Luxury Portfolio International® networks which is how the leaders of the two companies first met.

Under the terms of the acquisition, Lyon Real Estate will continue to operate under its name and brand and will maintain the current leadership team, including president and chief operating officer Pat Shea.

Lyon Real Estate agents and their customers will benefit from Windermere’s enhanced marketing resources, professional development, relocation and referral services, as well as an in-house chief economist.
