Aptinyx Announces Closing of Public Offering of Common Stock and Full Exercise of Underwriters’ Option

Aptinyx Inc. (Nasdaq: APTX), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing transformative therapies for the treatment of brain and nervous system disorders, today announced the closing of its public offering of 16,100,000 shares of its common stock, which included the exercise in full of the underwriters’ option to purchase additional shares, at a public offering price of $3.00 per share. All of the shares sold in the offering were sold by Aptinyx. The gross proceeds from the offering, before deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and offering expenses payable by Aptinyx, were $48.3 million.
SVB Leerink, Piper Sandler and Cantor are acting as joint bookrunning managers for the offering. Wedbush PacGrow is acting as passive bookrunning manager and H.C. Wainwright & Co. is acting as lead manager for the offering.
Aptinyx intends to use the net proceeds received from the offering to advance the development of its novel NMDA receptor modulators, including NYX-2925, NYX-783, and NYX-458, in development for chronic pain, PTSD, and cognitive impairment, respectively, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
