MidAmerican Energy Company Awards PFES with Three-Year EPC Management Contract

NORTHBROOK, Ill., Sept. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PFES, LLC, has been awarded a contract by MidAmerican Energy Company (MidAmerican Energy) to manage its growing portfolio of electric utility substation and transmission line capital improvement projects over the next three years.

PFES will be responsible for providing program and project management services for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of these substation and transmission line projects located primarily in the states of Iowa, Illinois, and South Dakota.

In May of this year, MidAmerican Energy announced plans to invest an additional $922 million in its newest wind project. Upon anticipated completion in late 2020, it would make MidAmerican Energy the first investor-owned electric utility in the nation to generate renewable energy equal to 100 percent of its customers' usage on an annual basis. The project is still subject to Iowa Utilities Board approval. MidAmerican Energy announced its 100 percent renewable energy vision in 2016.
